Export and print your iPhone text messages
Save iMessage, SMS and WhatsApp chats as a PDF with every date, time and sender. For court, custody, disputes or your records.
How it works
Pick a conversation. Text Records does the rest.

1. Pick a conversation
Choose a chat you imported from Messages, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram and more.

2. Check every message
Every message is shown with its date, time and sender, in order.

3. Export as PDF or spreadsheet
Print it, email it, or save it. CSV and plain text are included too.
How to import your chats

What the app does
Your messages, organized and ready to print, send or keep.
Imports from each app’s own export
Messages, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram and LINE, each from the app’s own export, read on your iPhone. Apps with no export, such as Signal and Snapchat, are not supported.
PDF, CSV or plain text
A PDF for printing, a spreadsheet for sorting, or plain text for anything else.
Every message dated and numbered
Every message with its sender, date and time, in order and numbered, with page numbers and a checksum anyone can check.
Export from your iPhone
No cables, no desktop software. Export right from your iPhone, wherever you are.
Stays on your iPhone
Your messages never leave your phone. We can’t see them, and nobody else can either.
What the PDF looks like
A cover page with who, when and how many messages. Then every message with its date, time and sender. Page numbers on every page, so anyone can find what you’re talking about.

Frequently asked questions
How do I export text messages from my iPhone?
In Text Records, pick the conversation and the dates you need, then export it as a PDF, CSV or text file. It all happens on your iPhone. You don’t need a computer.
Can I print text messages for court?
Yes. The PDF is made for printing, with every date, time and sender and page numbers. The court decides what it accepts, so keep your phone and the original chat too.
Does it work with iMessage and SMS?
Yes. Text Records uses an Apple Shortcut, available on iOS 26, to read the chat you choose. You set it up once, in the app.
Do you see my messages?
No. Everything happens on your iPhone. Your messages are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
Why doesn’t it read screenshots or screen recordings?
Reading text from pictures of a chat often goes wrong: a message ends up under the wrong person, out of order, or with the wrong time. Many apps that do it also send your screenshots to their own servers to be read. Text Records does neither. It only takes chats from each app’s own export, or from Apple’s Shortcuts for iMessage and SMS, so every message, sender and time comes straight from that app, and nothing leaves your iPhone.
Can it get back deleted messages?
No. It exports what is still on your phone. Deleted messages are marked as deleted when the chat records them.
How much does it cost?
Importing, reviewing and a preview of the first 100 messages are free. Full exports need a plan: a 30-Day Pass for $9.99 (one payment, doesn’t renew), Annual for $29.99 a year (renews until you cancel) or Lifetime for $49.99 (one payment). Every price is shown before you start.
What if I don’t have an iPhone?
You can turn a WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram or Messenger export into a PDF free in your browser.
